Just finished reading Obeah: A Sorcerous Ossuary, a really fascinating and in-depth little book from @hadeanpress

As many who have been here a while will know, as well as being a poet I am a professional tarot reader. Recently I have felt the call to be more open about this, share more of my spiritual practice and add a few more strings to my mystical bow. I am beginning with this stunning lenormand deck, the @magical_folklore_lenormand by @hex_tarot I asked the deck for advice on my spiritual journey/ career and I feel that the signs are positive! Particularly the woman who looks very like me holding her magical folklore lenormand deck! So, watch this space for way more magic and divination as well as poetry 🔮 👀

The Elder tree has a lot of mythology surrounding it but the main story that stood out to me was that of the Elder Tree Witch. This story states that Elder trees are actually witches in disguise, and if you cut one down it would transform into a witch and chase you. The only way to stop the witch would be to leap over fresh running water.
