I have a fascination with fairytales, and love 'The Red Shoes' by Hans Christian Andersen. It is one of the more gruesome fairytales and it had a huge impact on my when I was a child. I still remember the Quentin Blake illustrations that went along with my copy in all their whimsical, grotesque detail.

Hiding among the hawthorn on my morning walk. This tree has meant a lot to me this summer as I navigate the grieving process for the first time.

New video is up where I review the Literary Witches Oracle! This is a bit of a different one for my channel in that finally I am reviewing a deck that didn't quite live up to my expectations... There is also a LOT of good about this deck, so it's not all negative. The video isn't mean spirited, rather it offers some criticism which I feel is valid and constructive. IOR: Beaver is today's futhorc rune. Appropriate perhaps as I can't feel/ use my hands much today because of the paresthesia associated with fibromyalgia. The beaver adapts to it's environment- both the land and the water, and, perhaps most notably, adapts its environment to suit it (using its architectural prowess!) For those of us with chronic illness or pain, we will surely relate to the beaver, and find this rune a help and comfort when living in a world not immediately suited to our needs.

It was always gonna happen 🧙🏼‍♀️
